Welcome to Tapxo! We are committed to protecting your personal data while you track and discover Spain's finest tapas and pintxos. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and shield your information.
1. Information We Collect
To power your culinary journey, we collect the following data:
- Account Information: Your email address and login credentials when you create a profile via Supabase Auth (including standard email or social sign-in via Apple/Google).
- Profile Stats & Content: Your username, profile details, uploaded food/bar photos, text logs, "Must-Order" descriptions, and custom olive ratings.
- Location Data: To log spots and utilize the "Explore" map tab, the app accesses your device's GPS location via iOS native frameworks.
- Social Interactions: Data regarding which accounts you follow to populate your chronological home feed.
2. How Your Data is Stored and Processed
We lean on secure, industry-standard infrastructure to keep Tapxo running smoothly:
- Database & Cloud Storage: Your profile details, text entries, and relationships are processed and stored securely via Supabase. Uploaded storefront or dish photos live safely in Supabase Storage.
- Location Rendering & Search: Map rendering and location searches happen natively on your device using Apple's ecosystem (native device frameworks). We do not send your map search queries to third-party ad networks.
- Premium Subscriptions: Paid upgrades to La Reserva are securely managed using RevenueCat and Apple's App Store framework. We do not process or store credit card details directly.
3. Data Sharing and Visibility
Community Feed: Tapxo is inherently social. The logs you create, along with your olive ratings, must-order choices, and photos, are visible to the community or users who follow your profile on the Home and Explore feeds.
No Third-Party Selling: We do not sell your personal information or culinary data to advertisers.
4. Your Rights and Data Retention
Control over Content: You can edit or delete your logged spots and profile information directly inside the app at any time.
Account Deletion: You have the right to delete your account entirely, which will remove your profile and associated entries from our active Supabase database.
5. Changes to This Policy
As we scale La Reserva features (like custom routes), we may update this policy. We will notify you of any major changes directly through the app.
